Musuem Holds Trivia Night-Nov. 16

 

Our Trivia Night was a wonderful success. Thanks to all the participants for a successful fundraiser for the Musuem. Our first place winners were the Mad Hatters (photo below), second place went to Herzog Law and third to Wally's Wizards. Special thanks go to all our supporters that made this event a special night.

"The 27th Division in World War II

 

The New York State Military Museum will be unveiling a new exhibit later this month at the museum located on 61 Lake Avenue.

"From the Empire State to the Pacific Theater: The 27th Division before Combat, 1940-43".

Through the use of artifacts, photographs, and oral histories the temporary exhibit will discuss the New York National Guard's 27th Infantry Division's three plus years of training for war from basic training at Fort McClellan to Coastal Defense duties in California and training for amphibious landings and jungle warfare in Hawaii.

Veteran of the Year for 2019

Our Veteran of the Year ceremony was held this past Saturday, November 2nd at the Military Museum.  The honoree this year was SP4 John Wands Sacca.  Pictured below are from left to right, Congressman Paul Tonko, Colonel Jake Goldberg, ARNG PAO, Rev. Charlene Robbins, SPF Sacca, Barry Hartman, Friends of the New York State  Military Museum and Brigadier General John Andonie, Dir. Joint Staff, New York National Guard.
